Admission:
There will be a $15.00 (additional fees and taxes will apply) gate fee for this meet. Tickets for each session are
limited and will go on sale Monday, May 25, 2023, at 12:00PM. Tickets can be purchased at
https://www.eventbrite.com/e/599103634097. All athletes, coaches, and spectators will be required to wear a
wristband during the length of the event in order to gain admittance into the facility. The replacement cost for lost
wristbands by athletes will be equal to the cost of admission. There will be NO replacement wristbands for
coaches and spectators

Refreshments:
There will be on-site food vendors, located in the parking lot of the school. The Concession Stand will NOT be
open

Parents,

Several of you have indicated that you will not be able to attend the meet scheduled for May 6, 2023. If you are able to attend , please let me know by tomorrow evening. You can post in groupme or text me directly (540)379-9804.

Parents,

Thank you all for your patience and understanding today as we withdrew our athletes from the meet. After discussing with each of you, the consensus was that it was not safe for the athletes to compete based on the conditions. WE MADE THE RIGHT DECISION!!!

I received the following information from the meet coordinators and wanted to share it with you:

Coaches,

We tried. We really appreciate all of you and your team’s patience and assistance. We tried and were not successful in getting this meet completed. The timer’s sensors went down early because of the steady rain even though we had them all enclosed in plastic trying to keep them dry. Once they went down the first time we tried again with the back ups and although they worked for some time those too also ended up getting too wet even though they were also covered. The system just was not picking up the shots being fired. *

We plan to do this again next year( obviously hoping for better weather) and we have already started trying to think of contingency plans just in case we have similar conditions. It’s definitely frustrating having gorgeous weather yesterday and the same gorgeous weather expected tomorrow. *

To show our appreciation to all of you who registered and braved the conditions we will offer a 15% discount to you and your club next year when we host another Spring invitational. We will take note of the registrants for this meet and apply the discount to you. *

For the parents who purchased ticket insurance we are going to work with “ticket spice” and adhere to their insurance guidelines. For those who didn’t purchase that insurance unfortunately it’s nothing we can really do. *

For the kids that actually had the opportunity to compete and won medals we will make plans to get you and your team those medals. *
