We will hold Practice today (22 March 2017), at Vision Community Church in three sessions based on ages due to the blustery temperatures this afternoon. The first session will be from 5:45 -6:20 pm for ages 6 – 10 years old, the second session will be from 6:20 – 6:50pm for 11-13 years old and the final session will be from 6:50 – 7:20pm for 14-17 years old. These training sessions can slide a little to right, but will not extend past 7:30pm. Please ensure your athlete has plenty of water. No food consumption is allowed during the training sessions. See you there.

Vision Community Church is located at 410 Deacon Road Fredericksburg, VA 22406.

Practice will be held today at Gayle Middle School located at 100 Panther Drive, Fredericksburg, VA. This is an opportunity for us to introduce the athletes to the track. Spikes are not needed. Practice will start at 5:45. Athletes should dress appropriately to include sweat pants and a long sleeve shirt or hoodie/jacket. Ensure athletes have water. See you on the track.

A block of rooms have been reserved at the Embassy Suited by Hilton Charlotte, located at 4800 South Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC for our meet on 29 April 2017. Rooms are reserved for April 28-30 and includes two queen size beds. The cost is $126.65 per night for a total of about 291.93 with tax. To reserve your room call 704-527-8400. Complete a project with Learn & Serve, see how are schools are incorporating All Century Skills with our All Century Learners, meet our community business partners, and just have fun!

This is a FREE, family, fun event! Students, staff, and parents from all 30 schools are invited to share the activities, projects, and achievement results related to the efforts of the many Agents of Change (AOC) at their schools. SCPS, the community businesses and agencies will show how our All Century Learners use All Century Skills to Give Back! The day will include a Fun Run, Community Partners, a Fitness & Wellness Circuit/Challenge, AOC Team “Challenges,” Mascot Mania, Zumba, Technology Island, and activity stations for all ages. The BOY SCOUTS OF AMERICA, National Capital Area Council | Aquia District will be bringing the STEM van. Learn and Serve students from each high school will help facilitate AOC Day, and they will also conduct their Annual Celebration of Service-Learning at AOC Day with a theme of “Awareness." Join them as the work to improve our local and global communities. The school and county’s initiative for Safe Teen Driving will also be supported through various displays, interactive modules and other engaging activities.; their awards are sponsored by GEICO. The AOC will make donations of non-perishable food and appropriate books from this day to SERVE, Stafford Junchtion, and other service organizations. Several community businesses and partners will be on site to share how they contribute to the community and the world.Donations of non-perishable food items and/or student-friendly books for any grade level are appreciated.
